I loved working on The Scroll again this year. The 2024 issue was my seventh year to retouch photos for this beautiful publication. The Scroll is an annual magazine honoring the Mobile, Alabama Carnival Association’s Mardi Gras monarchs.
Since 2018, I have been retouching all the photos in The Scroll to make sure the queen and her court look their best. During the photo shoots, they put visqueen under their trains to keep them clean and ready for Mardi Gras. I carefully Photoshop out the visqueen. The before and after photos of a 2024 train are pictured below. I also art directed The Scroll from 2018-2020. A couple pages I designed are pictured below.
